Camera-Ready Submission

This page contains instructions for submitting your final (camera-ready) versions for publication in the conference proceedings. If you have any publications related questions, please contact our Publication Chair, Prof. Martin Margala (martin_margala-putatsign-uml.edu). In order for your paper to be included in the proceedings and IEEE Xplore you need to complete the following steps:

1. Revise your paper
2. Put your paper through PDF eXpress for IEEE Xplore compliance
3. Upload your paper
4. Submit your copyright form
5. Register and pay for the conference

Below is more info on the steps above.

1. Revise your paper

Please read the reviews of your paper and revise it accordingly. Your final manuscript should have no page numbers and no headers/footers. The templates can be found at:

http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Please comply with the maximum number of pages specified in the acceptance email you received for your paper. Here they are for your convenience: Regular papers: 6 pages. Short papers: 4 pages. Special Session papers: 2 pages.

2. Put your paper through PDF eXpress for IEEE Xplore compliance

PLEASE pass your revised paper through PDF eXpress using conference ID (vlsisoc13x) by going to the following URL:

http://www.pdf-express.org

There, click on the link “New Users – Click here” and fill in your information. Conference id is vlsisoc13x. You can find more detailed instructions on using IEEE PDF eXpress at:

http://www.pdf-express.org/frhelp.asp

With PDF eXpress, you may either check your pdf file or convert several file formats (including MS Word) to pdf. In either case, PDF eXpress mails you a certified pdf file. !!! You must upload this certified pdf file (emailed to you) on EasyChair !!!

Failing to use PDF eXpress may result in the exclusion of your paper from the proceedings. Please refer to the IEEE document “Simplified Requirements for Creating PDF Files for IEEE Xplore®” for more information. It is important to note that submitting a file to IEEE PDF eXpress is only for creation of a compliant PDF file, you must still submit your final paper through EasyChair.

3. Upload your paper

All final submissions will be made electronically through EasyChair. Please access the final submission website through the following link:

https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=vlsisoc2013

Upload your final paper as a revision to your previous submission (Log in, Choose your paper, Select “Upload new version”). (The final paper as formatted and checked by IEEE PDF eXpress can also be downloaded by clicking your paper title in your IEEE PDF eXpress account, besides being available as an attachment in an email from IEEE PDF eXpress.)

!!! You must upload this certified pdf file (emailed to you) on EasyChair !!!

Please comply with the maximum number of pages specified in the acceptance email you received for your paper. Here they are for your convenience: Regular papers: 6 pages. Short papers: 4 pages. Special Session papers: 2 pages.

4. Submit your copyright form

Authors are required to transfer the copyright of their accepted papers to IEEE. The copyright form is available at:

http://www.ieee.org/documents/ieeecopyrightform.pdf

Only one author needs to sign and return the form on behalf of the other authors. For the IEEE Publication Title in the copyright form, please fill in:

2013 IFIP/IEEE 21st International Conference on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI-SoC)

The form should be returned to the VLSI-SoC Publication Chair, Prof. Martin Margala (martin_margala-putatsign-uml.edu). Please use the following subject line in your email: “VLSI-SoC 2013 Copyright Form for Paper No nnn”

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must send the IEEE copyright form by July 3rd — same deadline as the final version of your paper. If you fail to comply, your paper may NOT be published in IEEE Xplore.

5. Register and pay for the conference

Every accepted paper MUST have at least one author registered for the conference at a regular rate (minimum rate is IEEE member – early registration) within a few weeks (date to be announced) after the camera-ready paper is submitted. At least one author is expected to attend the conference and present the paper.

Best Papers

A selection of the conference best papers (about 10 to 15) will be invited to submit an extended version to be included as chapters of a book to be published by Springer.
